Summary

Azienda Tomisa was founded by husband and wife team- Donatella Zanotti e Giuseppe Marini in 1997. Having professional lives in Bologna, they decided to live a “simpler life” and starting working the fields that surround their house in Castel De’ Britti, a little hamlet in San Lazzaro di Savena, in the southern hills of Bologna.

Their property is within the regional protected area of Parco dei Gessi e dei Calanchi dell’Abbadessa, so the couple practice organic production. The farm has a total of 55 hectares, 15 of which is vineyards. They have been producing typical organic wines, certified by Icea, designated “Colli Bolognesi.”
