Summary

Ca di Rajo is a young company that was founded in 2005 thanks to the experience of the Cecchetto family, wine producers since 1931. Today, the estate is run by brothers Simone, Alessio and Fabio. The estate is located in the Prosecco Treviso DOC with vineyards in the Valdobbiadene DOGC where their main focus is Prosecco, but they also have vineyards and produce still wines in other Veneto areas such as DOC Piave, DOC Venezia, Malanotte del Piave DOCG, and DOC Raboso del Piave.

Perhaps one of the distinguishing factors that Ca di Rajo stands apart is their implementation of the Bellussera, a newer training system that raised vines up to 4 metres off the ground, arranging them in a semi-circle. This was a practice that saved the vines from disease while also allowed the local growers to use the rows to plant other crops such as cereals, which were essential for farmers to feed themselves and their families. The training method radically transformed the appearance of the Treviso countryside, while protecting its identity.
