Summary

Pietrantonj boasts a history of more than 200 years, with its complex fabric of passionate commitment, traditions, and innovation. Eight generations of the family have engaged in winemaking activities on the estates in Vittorito and Corfinio, located in the heart of the Valle Peligna. This is Abruzzo’s interior, and the birthplace of the Montepulciano d’Abruzzo grape.

Pietrantonj is owned and operated by two sisters, Alice and Roberta Pietrantonj, and today the estate has a total of 100 hectares, 60 of which are vineyards. The estate also grows over 1,000 olive trees and produces excellent olive oil. The grapes are processed in the family’s historic cellars located in the centre of the small medieval hamlet of Vittorito.

The winery is very old and was dug deep, up to 14 meters below the chai. These caves are still used in production as well as hosts a museum to showcase the very long and proud history of the Pietrantonj estate.
