Summary

Drawing on centuries of winemaking history, Anciano’s wines grown and produced crafted in Spain’s Valdepeñas region. This rugged landscape, and ancient soils are an ideal climate for growing Tempranillo.

The name Valdepeñas (Valley of Stones) refers to the special soil, strewn with pebbles and larger stones which soak up the sun’s rays during the day, and then release their heat during the night. The winery is very traditional and incorporates both traditional and modern winemaking methods, while maintaining a sense of place in the wines.
