Bodegas La Remediadora has a winemaking tradition going back three generations beginning  with its founding in 1946 in the municipality of La Roda. There are currently more than 350 farmers working vineyards planted to airén, tempranillo, macabeo, sauvignon blanc, verdejo, chardonnay, moscatel, tempranillo, cabernet, merlot, syrah, bobal, and petit verdot. La Roda lies in the heart of the plain of La Mancha, about 700 meters above sea level, with a  pronounced diurnal shift.

With several brands under the Bodegas La Remediadora umbrella, La Villa Real is the label showcasing wines from the Castilla-La Mancha DO.
