NOTES
VINEYARD: Characterized by gentle slopes and the sedimentary layers of sandstone and schist which are particular to Cormòns; also rich in limestone, potassium and phosphorous, giving the wine of this area its unique qualities. This series of soil type typically tends to crumble and therefore requires the construction of terraces, which have become a distinctive feature of the Collio landscape.
VINIFICATION: Following the late September harvest, the de-stemmed grapes are macerated for a long time in cooled pneumatic presses. The must ferments at controlled temperature for 6-7 months on the fine lees in large, oval-shaped oak barrels.
