FARMING: Certified organic.
VINEYARD: 12 hectares of vineyards in Solopaca, between 300 and 1000 feet, are split into two plots: Pozzillo and Cesine. The former, at a lower altitude, is mainly sandy with a plentiful water supply; the latter is at higher altitude with clayey, volcanic soils. Aglianico was planted in Cesine between 2003 and 2008.
VINIFICATION: Controlled l7-10 days maceration, controlled low temperature fermentation in stainless steel using selected yeasts, and aged in stainless for eight months.
