Notes
VINEYARD: Extending over the hillsides and sloping south around the Chateau - less than half a mile from the Gironde river. Average age of the vines is 35 years, and are planted on soil of predominantly gravel, clay, and limestone.
VINIFICATION: Manual harvest at peak maturity, followed by long and careful vinification. Blended and aged 12 months in barrel, 1/3 new oak.
TASTING NOTES:The flagship wine of the estate, it is a classically styled Bordeaux with dark, dense black fruit flavors with notes of tobacco. Full bodied and remarkably complex - this wine is an exceptional value. Drinks well young, but 3-10 years of age on the bottle will showcase the elegance for which this estate is known.
