Le Chevalier Côtes de Bourg Rouge

Varietal

Old vine (average age of 75 years) Cabernet Sauvignon and Franc (70%), Merlot (30%)

Notes
VINEYARD: Extending over the hillsides and sloping south around the Chateau - less than half a mile from the Gironde river. Old vines planted on predominantly a mix of gravel, clay, and limestone.

VINIFICATION: Limited yields and rigorous selection of the harvested grapes are standard elements at Falfas. Manual harvest at peak maturity, followed by long and careful vinification. Blended and aged in new French oak for 24 months.

TASTING NOTES: An aromatic bouquet of black fruits, licorice and spices. The palate is structured and tannic with a solid minerality and complex black fruit flavors on the long finish.
