NOTES
VINEYARD: Old vines from Churchill's estates located in the Cima Corgo sub-region of the Douro Valley.

VINIFICATION: Like all other Churchill’s Ports, the component wines have been vinified in traditional granite lagares (treading tanks). After fermentation, the wine goes through an aging period in seasoned oak casks for an average of 20 years. The wines are then blended to house style before bottling. Churchill's practices sustainable agricultural methods certified by the SATIVA institute. Their ports are produced with only indigenous-yeast fermentation, and do not contain, nor are produced, with genetically modified organisms or substances. No animal products are used.

TASTING NOTES: Churchill’s 20 Year Old Tawny is an expression of the Douro terroir combined with delicate aging in seasoned oak casks. The result of this combination is a port full of finesse while still retaining Churchill’s characteristic fresh identity. A pale red tawny color with a golden rim. A delicate nose of almonds and red Moreno cherries. Savory and rich on the palate, without losing the grip, it’s a combination of age and finesse, finishing long and fresh.

No need to decant. Serve straight from the bottle. Serve at cellar temperature (12 -15 º C). Filtered and ready to drink now. Once opened it will keep well for up to one month.
