L’Orange White Wine (2022)
VARIETALS
Pinot Gris, Riesling, Roussanne, Chenin Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Aligoté
NOTES
VINEYARD: The grapes for the L’Orange skin contact white wine came from several vineyards across the Pacific Northwest. This was the first year since 2018 that all of the sites were harvested in ideal conditions and without complications like wildfires, mildew, or drought.
VINIFICATION: The co-ferment of roussanne and riesling sees the most time on skins at nearly 30 days. This duo anchors the texture of this bottling, giving depth to layer in the additional white grapes whose skin-contact times range from 1-21 days. Each ferment is aged separately in old barrels and stainless steel for about 8 months before blending and bottling. Unfined, unfiltered and with a very small amount of sulfur added prior to release.
