VINEYARD: Situated in the north of Beaune, the vineyard of Savigny-lès-Beaune stretches from the Hill of Corton to Beaune. The domaine has many plots including "Les Pimentiers" of 2.5 acres oriented south-east. The importance of this commune resides in the size of its surface area. This is why Savigny-lès-Beaune offers a varied geology. "Les Pimentiers" is composed by a red-brown limestone soil, clayey and pebbly.. Vines : 50 years old
FARMING: Lutte Raisonnée
VINIFICATION: Grapes are hand-harvested and pneumatically pressed. The wine is vatted for 3/4 weeks under temperature control. Aged 12 months in oak barrels before being gravity-clarified, minimally filtered and then bottled.
TASTING NOTES: Deep red colour; its nose has characteristic aromas of red fruits as Morello cherry, blackcurrant and raspberry mixed with spicy notes. Delicate and elegant wine, its palate is refined and supple that gives it a feminine image.
