Uva Rara Valceresole Rosso

VARIETAL
100% Uva Rara

NOTES
FARMING: Organic

SOIL: The soil is layered, with clays on the surface and pebbles and sand underneath.

VINEYARD: The vineyard where the Uva Rara grows (8500 meters) is at the top of a hill called “Valceresole”, located in Briona. The soil is rich in clay and the vines are exposed to the sun all day long. The vineyard was planted in 1999.

VINIFICATION: The grapes were handpicked in September 2016 after a very warm vintage which allowed Uva Rara to show its best quality. The clusters were softly destemmed and the alcoholic fermentation was conducted by indigenous yeasts for 7 days in a stainless-steel tank.
