NOTES
The Gran Reserva is made only in the best years, in very small quantities. The grapes for this wine are carefully sourced from the oldest, high-altitude plots surrounding the winery.
FARMING: Organic
SOIL: Clay calcareous, limestone, bedrock, and stone
VINEYARD: 40-90+ year old estate vines in Villaescusa, Cascajo, Toro, Casa, Valderemelluri, Granja, Doroño, and Almendros at 480m to 705m
VINIFICATION: Fermented with indigenous yeasts in small wooden tubs. It was then aged for 24 months in all French oak: 1 to 5 year old barrels (225L, 400L, and 500L) and foudres ranging from 1,200L to 2,000L.
