SOIL: Morainal soils with porphyric deposits

VINEYARD: Thurnhof ist a small wine estate comprising 3.5 hectares (8,64 acres) of vineyards located on the south-facing slopes of the Virgl hill to the south-east of Bolzano. In Haslach on the south facing slopes of mount Virgl, vines grow on profound, decomposed volcanic top soil and roots penetrate down to the the bottom soil which consists of a thick layer of glacial rock deposits.

VINIFICATION:  Fermented in stainless steel and aged in large oak casks.
