Pinot Grigio

VARIETAL
Pinot Grigio

NOTES
VINEYARD: Mainly calcareous soil, rich in mineral compounds. The Friuli DOC area takes its name from the clear waters of the Italian river Isonzo, whose source lies in the Julian Alps. Along the banks of this river, which was called “Frigidus” by the Romans, the tradition of wine growing has left traces that are thousands of years old.

VINIFICATION: Following the late September harvest, the de-stemmed grapes are macerated for a long time in cooled pneumatic presses. The must ferments at controlled temperature for 6-7 months on the fine lees in stainless steel tanks.
