NOTES
VINEYARD: Twenty-five hectares (62 acres) on the sandy-gravel slopes in Saint-Sulpice-de-Faleyrens, in the southwest of the Saint-Émilion appellation. Vines are planted to 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. A 3.5ha clay-limestone cru in Saint-Laurent-des-Combes to the east is a contributing parcel to the blend. The average age of the vines is 25 years old. Vineyards have been certified organic since 2014 under the guidance of Jean-Marie Bouldy, the proprietor of Chateau Bellegrave (Pomerol), and Chateau Matignon (Saint-Émilion).
VINIFICATION: Long macerations and extended oak aging in a combination of mostly neutral oak barrels with some new.
