FARMING: Organic. Animal traction is used to work the soil on the steep terraces and chemicals are never used, only natural, organic and biodynamic treatments are utilized
SOIL: Decomposed red slate soils known as llicorella
VINEYARD: : Starting with a small parcel planted in 1934 in Bellmunt, Costers del Priorat now owns 25 hectares in four villages. Sourced from Finca Sant Marti (Bellmunt del Priorat) and Finca Mas Alsera (Torroja del Priorat) at 350m to 500m elevation.
VINIFICATION: A mix of destemmed and whole cluster grapes are fermented with indigenous yeast in cement vats. The wine is then aged 12 months in 2,300L and 3,000L Slovenian oak barrels and amphoras.
