NOTES
VINEYARD: Grapes are grown in vineyards located 400m above sea level with an east, south-east exposure.
SOIL: Medium-textured volcanic soils
FRAMING: Sustainable
VINIFICATION: Traditional maceration lasts for 10 days in small "fermentini". The wine rests for 18 months in 225L barrels before bottling. The wine ages for an additional 8 months in bottle before release.
TASTING NOTES: A deep purple-red colored wine that is full of plums, wild game, iron and peppery scents. It's firmly tannic, spicy and appealingly rustic - the flavors alternate between waves of plum, fig and bitter cherry and menthol, tannin and minerality.
