VARIETAL
Chardonnay
NOTES
VINEYARD: Various sites throughout Oregon - Royer (33%), Cassin (23%), Johan (22%), Eola Springs (22%)
VINIFICATION: Fermented with indigenous yeasts and kept on the lees for 9-10 months in neutral barrel. Small amount of sulfur was added Spring '23 after MLF. Wine remains on the lees until a month before bottling. 9 months French oak barrels and puncheons then one month in stainless steel.
PRESS & RATINGS: The 2022 Chardonnay Un is earthy in style as flowery underbrush and hints of white smoke blow off, revealing dried apples and sage. It's soothingly round with cooling acidity and a savory orchard fruit core, taking on a salty tinge toward the close. This leaves the mouth watering as hints of raw almond and a liquid stone sensation slowly fade. 92 Points - Vinous, Eric Guido
