Notes
VINEYARD: The estate is located in a very stony part of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape area, where you can find the famous “galets roulés”. A large part of the vineyard is located on the famous plateau de Cabrières, near Château Montredon. Grapes are sourced from the following sites: lieu-dits: Tresquoy, Cabrières (galets roulés); lieu-dit: Bois Dauphins (sandy soil); and lieu-dits Palestor, la Roquette, Pied Long, Pignan.
VINIFICATION: Manual grape harvest and grape selection. Maceration of 21 to 24 days. Aging regimen of 70% in stainless steel vats, 30% in new barrels.
TASTING NOTES: Nose full of fruit and spices. The mouth is fleshy with notes of red and black fruits enhanced with very fine tannins.
PRESS/REVIEWS: Deep crimson. A complex, expansive bouquet evokes smoky red and blue fruits, potpourri, licorice, game and garrigue. Stains the palate with sweet boysenberry, black raspberry and lavender pastille flavors sharpened by building spice and mineral notes. Finishes with strong tenacity, a touch of smoked meat and youthfully gripping tannins.
