Varietal
Gamay Noir
Notes
VINEYARD: Grapes are sourced from Colette’s home cru of Régnié. The vines are planted on pink granite and have an average age of 55 years (though one plot is over 80 years old).
VINIFICATION: Manually harvested grapes are selectively sorted, and bunches are kept whole throughout vatting. Gravity fed & temperature controlled. De-vatting after 8-9 days then pneumatically pressed. Matured 6 months in vats, bottled without filtering.
TASTING NOTES: Colette’s old vine release exemplifies the forward, explosive aromas of Regnié and Colette itself. Its attractive ruby red color is what you first notice, followed by lovely notes of raspberry, strawberry and roses. A beautiful wine.
