VINE AGE: 70 years

VINEYARD: A unique, undulating parcel of land that is impossible to plow - so it is teeming with wild grasses.

SOIL: Schist

FARMING: Practicing organic. Goblet and Royat trellis system.

VINIFICATION: Grapes are hand-harvested and fermented whole cluster. Only indigenous yeasts are used, and the wine spends 6 months in old, neutral barrels.

TASTING NOTES: This expression of Carignan is spicy, explosive and delightfully rustic - think crushed strawberries and sweet spices.
