Le Vignoble d'Élian Rouge
Varietals
50% Cabernet Franc, 30% Merlot, 20% Syrah
Notes
VINE AGE: Coming from vines aged from 30 to 40 years
SOIL: Clay loam soils over iron rich soil
VINIFICATION: 100% destemming, open concrete tanks, light cap punching, maceration 2 to 3 weeks with very gentle extractions. Each variety is vinified separately and aged for 17 months. Blended together and aged for an additional months in concrete before bottling without fining or filtration.
TASTING NOTES: A nose of black fruits with a touch of spice - with a dense, yet fleshy mouth with a peppered finish that brings a freshness to the finish. Beautiful tannins that although present are neither heavy nor aggressive.
