Livvera Béquignol
Varietal
Béquignol
Notes
VARIETAL: Béquignol. Germán Masera is on a mission to rescue Bequignol – a long-forgotten French variety planted in Argentina which has been in sharp decline for the last couple of decades. Just over 600 hectares remain today and this 2019 is his second release of single-variety Bequignol.
VINEYARD: La Pergola vineyard in El Zampal, approximately 8 acres planted in 1954 at an altitude of 3675ft asl. The soil is a combination of clay loam and sand.
VINIFICATION: 100% whole cluster, native yeast fermentation. The wine spent 8 months in used 225L oak barrels. Unfiltered.
TASTING NOTES: Super fresh fruit on the nose, fresh acidity, and fine tannin. Serve with a chill - utterly delightful!
