Summary

Jean-Jacques and Rémi Bonnet, and Vincent Pineau have been operating the Domaine Bonnet-Huteau – a family property for more than 150 years – in the center of the Sèvre & Maine appellation. The 40ha domaine has been certified “Agriculture Biologique” (organic farming) since 2005, and certified biodynamic (certified by Biodyvin) since 2010. Yields are limited and all harvests are carried out by hand. All of the estate's Muscadet cuvées are matured ‘on the lees’ between 6 and 24 months in underground cement vats, covered with glass; a practice typical in Muscadet.
The four major plots are comprised of amphibolite, granite, orthogneiss, and micaschist.
