VARIETAL
100% Nebbiolo
NOTES
FARMING: Organic
SOIL: The soil is layered, with clays on the surface and pebbles and sand underneath.
VINEYARD: Grapes are sourced from the two vineyards of Belvedere and Pianazze in Briona. These vineyards are located on top of a natural terrace, where the sun warms up the vines from the early morning until the sunset. The breeze coming from the Monte Rosa donates to this area specific microclimate characteristics, with a big temperature gap between day and night which enhance the aromatic profile of the grapes. The vineyards were planted in 1997/1998.
VINIFICATION: The grapes are handpicked and collected in 20 kg baskets. Alcoholic fermentation is conducted in stainless steel tanks and followed by 20 days of maceration. The wine then is then moved to 500 liters wood casks, for 8 months of aging
