Savigny Vielles Vignes

Varietal
Pinot Noir

Notes

VINEYARD: Vines ranging from 30-60 years old grown on iron-rich sandy soils selected across 5 small parcels.

VINIFICATION: Cold maceration for 6 days.

PRESS/REVIEWS: The 2018 Savigny-lès-Beaune Vieilles Vignes has a bouquet similar to the one I saw from barrel, suggesting crushed strawberry, slightly confit in style. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly rustic tannins and a little dry toward the ferrous finish. Drink over the next 3-5 years.
