Les Parcelles XIV Bouzy Grand Cru
Varietal
70% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay
Vintage
Based upon 2013 (80%), and supplemented by 2012 (14%), and 2004 (6%). 2013 was one of the latest harvests since 1988. This was caused by late and extended flowering into July. Good weather followed and provided optimal maturation conditions right up to harvest. Wines were full of tension, grip, and character, and are ideal for aging.
Dosage
2 g/L Extra Brut
Notes
Les Parcelles is a rare expression of a single cru village(Bouzy). Crafted primarily in 2013 from the family's selectional massale and Pinot Noir Fin (the original clone from which Pinot Noir descended). Les Parcelles is a blend of 22 plots farmed sustainably on hard chalk bedrock with clay topsoil. The average age of the vines is 25 years, and are all planted on south-facing slopes.
