Spirito delle Dolomiti
NOTES
From the mountain huts of the Dolomites, we learned the legend of the mischevious Mazaròl. The Mazaròl is an ancient being whose tiny footprints left in the snow would beckon unfortunate souls to follow. When these wanderers would finally reach the footprints end, they would be greeted by the Mazaròl who would erase their memory, and put them to work producing butter, cheese and harvesting wild mountain pine.
Collecting testimonies, and various versions of this legend among the mountains, the character we have drawn in our heads is a mysterious little man, with wolf’s tail and feet, dressed in a cloak and a hood.
Spirito delle Dolomiti is a gently balsamic and citrusy spirit inspired by this creature and the mountain-forest they come from. It blends fruits and medicinal herbs from the mountains, according to the centuries-old wisdom of the mountain distillation method, which catches the best of the Dolomites and gives authentic pleasantness.
The botanical species and the aromatic herbs have been carefully selected from the Dolomites’ vegetation. Thirty botanical herbs including mountain pine, milk thistle, rosemary, marjoram, hyssop, gentian, angelica, rhubarb, dandelion, chamomile, bitter orange, apricot seeds, and arnica.
