NOTES
VINEYARD: The nine hectares of vineyards lie at an altitude of around 300m above sea level, and form an impressive amphitheater surrounding the buildings of Tenuta Tamburnin. Iron-clay soils dominate. The vine training system used is espalier with Guyot pruning in which 6-7 buds are left, and the harvest is manual. Some of the vines at the winery are more than 40 years old, while others are recent. The cultivation methods used provide very limited yields which offer undoubted benefits to the quality of the wine production. No pesticides are used in the vineyards.
Since 2020 the winery has been classified as organic, pursuant to Article 29, par. 1 of EU Regulation no. 834/2007

VINIFICATION: Early September manual harvest. Whole-cluster direct-press. Metodo Martinotti (aka Charmat) fermentation.

TASTING NOTES: Pretty balance of fruit and fresh acidity.
