NOTES
VINEYARD: The fruit comes from the Alsea Vineyard located in the tiny town of Alsea which is approximately 19 miles from the Pacific Ocean. It lies outside any AVA. The vineyard was planted in 2005 by Barnaby and Olga Tuttle. The winters are very cold and wet, and the summers hot and dry but cool at night. The soil is Bellpine - rich in iron - and the rootstock is ungrafted. Dry farming, no irrigation, natural ground cover with a variety of plants to enrich the soil. No pesticides are used.

VINIFICATION: Manual harvest. The wine is fermented with wild yeast collected from the vineyard by making pied de cuve yeast starter a couple weeks before harvest. The active yeast is used to kick-start the fermentation. The wine is 100% direct press. All of Teutonic's wines are fermented and aged in neutral oak barrels.

TASTING NOTE: Called a “white wine” this is more rosé than white
