NOTES
VINEYARD: Zillinger’s vineyards are located in the Vienna basin, on sedimentary soils in southeast Weinviertel. The warmest and driest part of the Weinviertal, a cool climate region, 5km from the border with Slovakia, between Vienna and Bratislava. Gneiss and granite are the dominant natural rocks here, but limy sandstone and slate marl clay can also be found here. The fine loess sand consists of quartz, feldspar, and mica silicates, and clay minerals.
VINIFICATION: Whole bunch pressed. Stainless steel fermentation. On lees to January following harvest then bottled unfiltered in February.
