Summary
Following the completion of his academic studies in agricultural engineering, Christophe Monget began his career in the Bordeaux wine sector before proceeding to Champagne, ultimately landing in Centre-Loire as technical manager of quality Sauvignon seedlings. He was inspired to delve into winemaking and has been an integral member of the team behind the venerable Domaine de Villargeau (Coteaux du Giennois) as well as producing his own wine under the Christophe Monget Vigneron label.
For this, his own label, Christophe and his cousin manage 23 hectares of family vineyards that were once planted with grains and grazed by cattle. With a passion for wine and polycultural farming, Christophe dedicated the entire property and historic 300 year old stone barns to grape growing and winemaking. His farming philosophy is a commitment to organic and natural practices, and the domaine is a member of Terra Vitis.
